Graduate Students: Earn Literary Arts credit and learn about our program’s history and culture. Possibilities: develop independent projects in the archive. Digitize, notate, and research reels in the collection. Gain skills working with old formats. Work with archivists in special collections at UMass Amherst. Generate writing and content on the reels to accompany websites hosting the digitized sound. Develop websites and platforms for audio content. Work on independent projects relevant to archival audio.
Internship Opportunity for UMass Undergraduates:
- Listen to, annotate, and research reels in the archive
- Assist with maintenance of archive logs and documentation
- Learn about the inner workings of archives
- Gain skills in audio editing
